Collection of the green waste

We will provide to your site a "Roll On Roll Off" container from 15 cubic yards capacity upwards, the green raw material must be placed within the confines of the container

NB sizes may vary according to your location. Skips are for green  waste only, no metals, no Fridges, no TV's or monitors, hazardous waste which includes paints, solvents liquids or asbestos.      
Before you order please ensure that can place the skip on private property.  They can be placed on the highway but you may need a permit.

Receiving the green waste

On receipt of the fresh raw material it is placed in one of the bays and is shredded within the first 24 hours. After the first shredding, it is left to 'cook' for a while, depending on rainfall and outside temperatures. The heap temperature is monitored to maintain a constant 65 to 72 degrees centigrade. As soon as the temperature drops below that, the raw compost is passed through the shredder again. This turns the heap and serves to re-activate bacteria whose renewed activity in turn warms up the compost again. This ensures that temperatures are maintained to aid breakdown and that any weed seeds and pathogens are killed off.
